The Classical Quartet
The Classical Quartet are one of the most highly regarded string quartets in the country, based in Dublin, the members of The Classical Quartet have established themselves individually and collectively as musicians of the highest calibre. These musicians have been trained in some of the best institutions across Europe, from the Royal College of Music in London to The National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.
In 2004, they featured on RTE’s ‘Celtic Christmas’, ‘The Late Late Show’ and ITV’s ‘The Kelly Show’. They, also accompanied Liam Lawton on a Nationwide Tour and recorded his ‘Another World’ DVD with prominent Irish artists The Celtic Tenors, Emer Quinn, and Róisín O Rielly.
Regularly appearing at State functions and prestigious events, The Classical Quartet have performed in The National Concert Hall, Dublin Castle, Farmleigh House, St Patrick’s Cathedral, the RDS Concert Hall, Ashford Castle, the K Club and Multifarnham Abbey.
The Classical Quartet have an extensive repertoire caters for a broad range of styles: from serene Classical highlights such as Pachelbel’s Canon and Bach’s ‘Air on a G String’, to Vivaldi’s thrilling ‘Four Seasons’, onto Operatic excerpts. Additionally, their own arrangements are incorporated into well-known Movie classics, Popular music and exhilarating Tangos.
